A warm welcome to Chobham & District Angling Club.
We are a small traditional village angling club set in the heart of the countryside and close to the historic village of Chobham, Surrey. Founded in 1968, the club is proud of it's history and strives to ensure that its members enjoy traditional fishing for a multitude of species in beautiful surroundings.
We operate a traditional course fishing season with fishing allowed from June 16th through to March 15th each year. Additionally, we have adopted a capped membership programme to ensure the tranquility and peaceful surroundings enjoyed by our membership is maintained. New members are very welcome, however there is an expectation that new members attend our work parties (...more like social gatherings!) prior to joining.
For membership enquiries, contact us for an application form at: bjglazi@icloud.com or fill in the membership enquiry form.
Our club enjoys exclusive fishing rights to two local still-waters. The still-waters offer a combination of beautiful surroundings with mature Lilly beds, Rhododendrons, and islands.
Small carp (to mid-doubles), roach, rudd, tench and perch inhabit the waters, and our committee work hard to ensure the lakes and their inhabitants are in the best possible condition.
The club has simple rules, a selection of the key items are as follows:
- Barbless hooks only
- Maximum 2 rods
- Every member must have their own landing net
- Every member must use an unhooking mat
- No fires
- No Dogs
- No Radio's
- Absolutely no litter, littering, or fishing with litter in the vicinity of your swim
- No camping
- No unauthorised guests
All rules are printed in the membership permit that will be issued to you. The main rule, not printed in the permit, is that of common sense!
Yours sincerely,
Bryan Glazier
